I obtained a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, completing two years of coursework in limnology and one in ornithology. I subsequently pursued a master's degree in biological oceanography from the Department of Marine Science at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. There, I investigated the phylotranscriptomics of Caribbean fire corals (Millepora sp.) as part of my master's thesis. Prior to completing her master's degree, she commenced employment at the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), where she has since remained for a period of seven years. During this time, she has advanced her professional competencies as a Limnology technician, occupying various roles within the organization. Notably, she has contributed to safety initiatives as a Chemical Hygiene Officer for NEON, Domain 04.
