- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I'm pursuing an M.S. in Environmental Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras, advised by Dr. Omar Pérez-Reyes in the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory. My research focuses on characterizing the diversity and abundance of non-native freshwater fish and analyzing limnological parameters of a regulating water reservoir in the northwest karst region of Isabela, Puerto Rico. I also work as project manager for the Tropical Responses to Altered Climate Experiment (TRACE), looking at the effects of warmer temperatures and hurricanes on forest structure and soil biogeochemistry.
