Alyssa Herrera is a Master's student at Florida International University and her work focuses on the impacts of invasive species on South Florida ecosystems. Specifically, her master's work assesses predator-prey interactions of the invasive Asian swamp eel in the Florida Everglades with the goal of understanding how this species influences native food webs.
