Ayi Ajavon has recently graduated from Georgia State University with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology. With over a decade of aquarium husbandry experience, he is primarily interested in the intersections of conservation, ecology and evolution as he moves towards graduate school and beyond. Ayi has participated in research through REU programs at Florida International University and University of Washington’s Friday Harbor Laboratories. Ayi is looking forward to gaining experience in mentoring young, underrepresented students and helping to advance their careers in aquatic science.
